POWER TILT TRIM UNIT

The Island 55 Tilt / Trim unit, fits between your outboard and your boats transom. The Model 55 is a heavy duty fabricated aluminum bracket. It will hold 2 and 4 strokes motors up to 110kg's. It’s powerful electro-mechanical actuator provides automatic trim and tilt with the push of a button. Bracket comes with electrical relay and 2 button switch (12ft cord). Easy to fit and use. This Tilt trim is controlled by an up & down 2 Button remote.

Having Tilt & Trim on your boat completely changes the way you go boating. First of all it makes it very easy to come into beaches. You don't have to get up from your drivers seat to lift the outboard. Motoring in shallow water is anther advantage.

But the main advantage is being able to trim your boat when it is underway. Start with your outboard trimmed all the way in. This helps the boat get onto the plane much quicker. Once on the plane with the outboard trimmed all the way in the boat will feel like it has a rough ride or tracking. Tracking is where the nose of the boat is plowing through the water not riding on top of the water like it was designed to do. This is where the trim comes into play. Just hit the trim button UP and feel the boats steering get much lighter and the boats ride will become much smoother. You'll also feel the boat excellerate due to not having to push so uch water. Make sure not to over trim as the boat will start to cavitate. If this happens just slightly trim the motor down.

It doesn't matter how many people or where they sit in the boat you'll be able to trim the outboard to suit for a SMOOTH ride.

Maintenance :
1. Electrical connections.
‍Periodically, at least once a season, check the electrical contacts. If necessary, they should be cleaned and reapplied with dielectric paste to protect the contacts from corrosion.
2. Operation in salt water.
Wash at the end of the day with fesh water to prevent premature discoloration and corrosion of parts, especially in salty and dirty water, periodically flush the lift with fresh water.
3. Replenishment of lubricant.
‍The pusher gearbox is filled with grease at the factory. At the start of each season, lubricate the tappet with a quality seawater lubricant. The top grease fitting is located on the gearbox housing mounts. Depending on the intensity of use, it may be necessary to add 3-4 pumps of lubricant in the middle of the season.
DO NOT INJECT MORE THAN 4 SYRINGES AT A TIME.
Another grease fitting is located on the long outer cylinder. Remove the cover screw and add lubricant if necessary. DO NOT apply too much grease to this fitting. 
4. Preparation for long-term storage or for winter.
‍If you are going to put the boat in long-term storage or for the winter period, it is important to prepare the lift for long-term storage, for which you should perform a few simple operations.
1. Remove the plug screw on the long outer cylinder of the lift and spray the cylinder with WD40 spray lubricant.
2. Replace the plug.
3. Before the start of the season, remove the plug screw and add a quality WD40 lubricant. Then apply air-curing silicone sealant to the threads of the cover screw and tighten gently.
